For the first time in my three tedious years of summer school history, I chose to take a course with the intent of actually enlightening myself rather than just trying to get another miserable prerequisite over with. The women’s studies course “Gendered Violence” definitely served its purpose. It also sent me into a tailspin and an existential crisis of epic proportions. OK, so maybe I need to calm the histrionics, but the class was certainly a harsh wake-up call.
